Our Hemmoor trip brought freedivers and scuba divers together for a long weekend of training, learning, and plenty of fun—set against the beautiful clear waters and green surroundings of Hemmoor.
How it unfolded 😁
We arrived on Thursday and set up our gear, ready for three packed days ahead. On Friday, both freedivers and scuba divers got straight into it with two freediving sessions and two scuba dives. The energy continued on Saturday with two more freediving sessions and three scuba dives, keeping everyone busy, focused, and smiling. By Sunday, it was time for a relaxed fun dive in the morning before making our way back home.
The weekend was filled with progress and milestones. Anjo successfully completed his SDI Deep certification as well as his TDI Nitrox—congratulations! 🎉 Meanwhile, Hestia achieved a new outdoor cold-water PB of 22m, an amazing accomplishment. Both of them worked hard on technique and skills, not just in the water but also through dry exercises between sessions. The last day of fun diving was definitely well deserved, with scuba divers discovering underwater treasures and setting markers for freedivers to pop in and join—it was teamwork at its best.
One of the most special parts of the weekend was seeing freedivers and scuba divers side by side, sharing the same waters and experiences. This mix brought extra energy to the group and made the whole event unique.
